At this rate you're going to explode very very slowly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL:D
Better get your thinking cap on ,eg. how do you keep the sand out of your carbs?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anything unusual on engines out there? do you get alot of (if any ) overheating, is it easy to get spares? Theres loads of questions a lot of us would like to ask.
Good luck for your thirtieth (post I mean) !:)

My old classic is in a sorry state - as these photos will attest. The whole front subframe, engine, g/box etc was "re conditioned" by a reputable (in Johannesburg) Mini mechanic a few years ago as my wife wanted a Mini to roar around in. It has, unfortunately, been left to rot for a few years.

We are going to build garages so that there will be a project area for me and a house for the Old girl (Mini, not wife). Spares are "gettable" but rather expensive as the Rand / Pound rate is arround 14 to one (R14=£1). When finished i would be very lucky to have a car with a market value of about £1500 pounds so, obviously, it would have to be out of love!

As for the other points - engines, cooling system etc all the same. The cooling system is virtually useless during a warm spell (anything over about 26 ̊C) - you have to ensure that it is full of coolant at all times and that the covers between the inner wing and the rad are perfect. V easy to cook a mini here, want to get a decent modern rad and an electric fan. Having said the above those Z cars look interesting!!!

Will that do for a start? :-)

BTW I have been at work in Abu Dhabi. Am currently sitting at the counter in my kitchen looking out at the pool and sunshine in South Africa - Makes it all worth it!!!
