I think the way it works is you get it sent to you and then you send the old head back and they give you some of the money you spent back to you but if you dont send it back then you just dont get any money back if you know what i mean

It sounds very strange that you 'have' to send one back (not that i no an awful lot), r u sure its not just a trade in thing to get money off your new one?? If not Y don't you shop around and phone a few places, same goes with the garages, give a few a ring and they should let you know if they can order in parts and how much it might cost you. u could also save yourself some pennys too by asking a few and finding the cheapest!!!

most of the places operate like that. They will modify the one you send back to sell on. You can pay the surcharge and not send the old one back. They give you an amount of time to send the old one back. The big places like minispares and minisport sell you head off of the shelf, the engine tuners like Morspeed, MED, etc will start work on the head when you order it and pay the deposit, so you have to wait a week or two, they will alos want to know about your engine and what you are looking for out of it.
When I got mine from Morspeed I just paid outright for the head and kept my old one...
