Please take care when buying a mini. Some may look good on the outside and then you start digging. All a minis strength is in its roof, so thats one to look out for. Rust is a big problem too. Sills, scuttle panels, boot floor, A panels, subframes. The list is endless. Make sure if you are buying any car, to take someone with you who knows what they are doing. And have a good look around in the daytime. Make sure any modifications have been done properly: exhaust, electrics etc.
Ive been lucky enough to have bought a few good motors and not had too much trouble.
Happy buying peeps :)

Certainly not. Roof chopping is just dangerous unless you strengthen the chassis first and you know exactly what you are doing! :D

I will second that iceman. my sprite was a bit of a rust bicket. and my ex boyf bodging it together with grey tape didn't help either. he thought he was some sort of expert! it only cost me 250 so not too much damage to the pocket. so anybody out there wirh a bluie spritebeware. it used to belong to me lol
