ooo de-seamed cars can look so cool.... The only thing I know is that the panel lineup can be an issue, the seam's normally hide this from the factory. Just have a look at the line in the shell above the boot a follow it around to the rear side panel, some times they are miles out. (I put a pin stripe on my sisters car years ago and it was miles out).

As for the welding etc I don't know.... Welding it something I would love to learn....Hey Deano maybe you could do club classes to help the club coffers :D

I did have a mate at collage (all those years ago) that hammered them over then smoothed with filler  This is NOT recommended but I did think it was funny. :D The things you do when you are young and stupid..

On a serious note maybe someone else can help with a how to guide.

yeah, i wouldnt recomend the hammer and filler approach, de-seamed cars do look ace when they're done right thought. i was talking to a guy a while ago who had his cooper de-seamed, what they had to to was cut the seams out a section (6inches or so) at a time and then weld the edge, grind it flat then smooth over it with filler,
has to be done properly tho as gr4h4m says they hide the factory fitting but also give the car a lot of its structural strenght.
Good lcuk!
:D

The proper way to do it is to lead fill the seam`s but not many skilled peeps about to do that sort of work anymore:(

Re last night's conversations about tool skills. This seems the obvious job for someone like me with my trusty chisel and hammer
