I have allways used unleaded since it was banned in my mini`s even tho some of them are leaded engines and i have never had any problems or even ever heard any problems of mini valve`s and valve seats burning out ive only adjusted timing mixture etc to get them to run right! so is it a myth ? what do you think? was it and is it still a money making venture?

I don't know I read the hype when I was looking to put the mini back on the road and use Castrol Valve master stuff.....

Still if the head does wear its and excuse to get a Stage 3......:D

it might be a cheaper option to look at a std 1100 head if you are running at a 998... as an option. should get good gains for cheaper than a stage 2 modified

I think if you wait for the unleaded to burn your valves out you will be waiting a long time for you modded heads. Have been troling the tinterweb trying to find concrete evidence that it happens and cant find any:)
P.s the new tesco`s super 99octane is the nearest thing your can get to the old leaded and makes your mini go like stink:)

It does help if you have more compression mini`s were designed to run on higher octane because the compression is fairly high if you have a low compression a series super fuel wont make much differance :)
Cheers Deano
