We were talking about the Fiesta brake upgrade, Here is the web site I was talking about.

I have got all of the info from minifinity, and a few of them have installed this setup it seems a good budget system for keeping 10"

I had compiled a bit of a shopping list
Front Mini Disc brake hubs - S/Hand
New Timkin bearing kit (Mini Spares GHK1140) -New
4 Ball Joints -New
CV joint from a disc braked mini to match hub - S/Hand
Disc braked CV joint gaters -New
Metro Flanges (turbo / vented disc) with lugs machines off
8.4" solid mini discs (Turned down to 7.9") -New
New Brake Master Cylinder Extender Smile-New (9.99)
1275 GT rear wheel cylinders -New
1275GT brake balance valve -New
1" alloy wheel spaces -New
extended wheel studs to fit 1" spaced rears -New
Fiesta Calipers Mk1 or Mk2 - S/Hand
Caliper rebuild kit - New
Fiesta brake pads - New
Fiesta Pad fitting kit - New
Custom hose kit - New May get one made up if I can find a supplier)

Split pins -New
Greese -New

Cool thanks loads more info I think this is the way I'm going to go in the winter I think the larger pad area is going to be an advantage

Is the 1" spacer needed if you use the Fiesta caliper or is that just a personal requirement?:cool:

We used it for the rear wheels as the front track will be 1" wider than the back.... You can just ues the 1" spacer drum that the later mini's use.

wow that's a great video and a great conversion, will the 41/2 j reverse rims fit under the wing without a spat or are they way outside?

They only stick out the same as a mini with 8.4" inch disc brakes. This conversion doesn't push them out any further. So if you can get your wheels wth discs on without arches these wont be any different. Mine looks a bit wider as I'm running 10x6 wheels.

how well do the fezzy calipers work? are they more powerfull than the twin pots (8.4/s)?

They should be about the same as 8.4 with 12" wheels but you can run 10"'s:cool:
