no doubt it will look ace when its finished! how about puttin that 1380 engine in to give it something a bit different!? that would be fun!!

Hey Alex ,you got your wires crossed. When I said I got pics I was referring to my pc refusing to show the pics of the classic open the night before last and now I can get them on screen.

Quite a bit to do im afraid. Full rebuild, lots of welding, full respray and new engine. Ouch. Gonna take a while but good things come to those who wait. Tink ive been waiting long enough if you look at the date i acquired the vehicle. :eek:
How much are Webasto roofs fitted these days?:)

you purchased it on 26/04/04 you have got the patiance of a saint... you're right though, good things come to thouse that wait and then they come in small packages. good luck with both yours and i hope you do'nt have to wait much longer.

They've got to get it out my garage somehow!
The Classic is now covered with allsorts and full of my stuff while Deano does the welding on my Elf in his Mini Sanctuary which hopefully is not far off.New Baby comes first!:)

Strange pair. They are in the garage now, doors shut, welder going! Will see what happens. Maybe have some pics later. As soon as thats done Polo can come back home to the sanctuary and have her welding finished and get ready for paint. Yippee :D

Common as muck these open classics! Might have 2 on the road by the end of next year :)
Seems to be a few common faults with them tho, such as a tear in the headlining. Same place on both mini's. And mini's built in this year seem to rot like hell! We are goin to try and revive both tho. Watch this space :D

still practisin at the moment mate, its one thing if i nuke my own car by turning the power up that little bit too far, but its something else killin someone elses! :o not had too much practise yet! still technically a welding virgin!:rolleyes:
