Crankshaft thread

Hi I need to tap out the thread on the end of the crankshaft as I damaged it trying to get my clutch out, can anyone tell me what size tap I require to re tap the thread. Thanks

hi, am pretty sure its 5/8 x16 uns but to buy a tap will be expensive i would say 65 to 70 quid mate,hope this helps.gav

yer to be honest if the thread is that bad it may be a new crank needed
