guys as promised here are a few pics of gert with her brand new 2 piece flip front after the disaster we had before ;) but with advice and tips of a few on here we got it sorted, well here they are hope you like them let me know what you think :confused: and the next job is the paint job and thats a different arument lol

well we have sort of decided, were thinking black with red/black interior??
i wanted purple but my hubby wont allow it :( but black has and is growing on me!!
it was bright orange when we brought it so even now it looks better lol

you can't go wrong with black.

i saw a mini @ mitp last year, it was painted a really dark purple that looked black from some angles and purple from others, it had a metalic fleck in it and it looked awsome. food for thought.

It's just something I do after a spell years ago when I used to develop my own fotos was to scrutinise others! Glad you like it! Yes I will do my best to pick something out in future shots that I come across! Can/or could be good fun!

yes it is a good idea, looks like im going to have to watch whats in the next lot of photos :D the way my hubby keeps swearing and cursing me you will see a pic of me on a dartboard hanging in his garage lol :)

I'm harmless really but really jealous that you doing so well with gert and it looks a smashing job honestly. I'm going to have a hell of a job rubbing Elfie down, there is so many clips to hold the chromework on, its unbelievable.Think I'm going to have remove them otherwise its going to be difficult to spray (not that I'm doing it but don't want the sprayer to use them as an excuse if it doesn't work out!)

very true, were a little worried about the spray job and who to do it as i want it done proper, daz was going to try it himself??????????????????????????????????????? lol
it means a lot tony elf to have an honest opinion my hubbys head is swelling loads lol.
ive just brought some group 5 fibre glass arches and side skirts, feel a bit strange cause i love the classic mini but in a way i feel im ruining the image of the classic mini, if that makes sence!!!!

not sure if you remember Woody who owns Arfon Bodycraft opposite my lock up,he does all welding work and fabrication work and his son Paul sprays in their spray booth,Minis galore come in and out of here,mine was in in 2004 here......he is very very very good..............he also has an Elf too,and a pick up for starters................anyways hope to drag him with us to the next meeting :)

also Marcus to the right of my lock up runs Gwynedd Smart Repair,dent removal specialist also a bodywork expert,Minis have also a place in his heart so if you're in a pickle ever may I recommend both of them to you all :)

Yeh it does make sense. I'm gonna try and keep the Elf bog standard and "as was" if I can. The only modifications will be seat and steering rake adjusters and maybe a radio (they did have radios in 1964!) club members are trying to get me to fit minilites wheel arch flares ect but I'm saving that for Elle my studio 2 which I bought to "tide" me over whilst doing Elfie. I really haven't room for Phils 306 estate and studio 2, my Picasso, the elf and my studio 2 as well as the caravan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Musn't upset the neighbours!!!!!!!!!!

you could fit a modern cd tuner in dash and have a 'retro/old style' false face cover on it the type with knobs on each side even with M and L push buttons!! what ever they were........lol ;)

Yeh. I have considered an ipod as well. All mod cons. I'll prob have a bump with all that technology to hand!!!!!!
