Starting issues

I have a race spec Mini 1000 that was once an autograss. Because it is a race car it has a simple ignition but i cant get it to start for the couple of weeks. The ignition comes on and everything and the engine will turn over but just wont start? Could it be a faulty coil??

ive got fuel but no spark, ive cleaned the points and everything and when i take the king lead off the dizzy theres no spark there which is why i think the coil could be fooked :'(

Could be the coil but the coil will only spark when the points tell it to so if the points arnt right the coil wont spark. I would try points & condenser 1st

Ive tried the points and cleaned them but bearing in mind it doesnt have an ECU?

What gap Have you got the points set at ? I dont think any car with points has on ECU.
