apparently if your'e in love with the new mini (like some people in my office are) you can see the differences but to me its still the same, apparently the headlights are moulded to the chassis now not in the bonnet!? :S

Have just downloaded some pics, will try and get them on over the next day or so.
Changes are very subtle, like prevosly mentioned, headlights in the car now , not the bonnet

2 1/2 inch longer
1/2 inch wider
slightly different interior as well
slightly different wheel arches as well.

Lifted from C4 website and Auto Test Website

Modest styling mods : No, it hasn't changed much, at least in terms of its looks: all the basic ingredients remain the same for Mini Mk2, with even superficial styling details little altered. The disguising tape suggests minor tweaks to headlights, taillights, bumpers and other superficialities, but sensibly when the Mini has been so successful, BMW is not doing anything too radical. Some of the small changes have been significant, however: much work has been done to ensure that the Mini meets upcoming pedestrian safety legislation. The bonnet is now higher, with shielded windscreen wiper arms, the grille more upright and the bumpers redesigned.

Understanably, not many changes, however if you look closely there are 1 or 2

I think its starting to look more piggy! Reminds me of one of those Hyundi thingies. Come on BMW you can do better than that!

Is it a mini or a bmw ?

the only thing i actually like on it is the dashboard clocks- cool having a big centre speedo and the tach mounted on the steering column! not german engineering tho! i'm sure i've seen that on the car it's trying to replace!?? :D anyone else seen that done in classic minis before rover got bought out!?

yeh, but it's getting biger.
you can see design features taken from the classic, modernised for the new mini and thats one of the many reasons why i like the new mini.

it should be smaller though!

hey i hope any new mini owners do'nt take offence. i think the new mini is great..... i'm just voicing what i would like to see in a new mini, like the classics with v-tec's. some people do'nt agree with that but they still appretiate them. it all adds to the mini scene.
what do you think ?

yeah, dont get me wrong i do like the new mini's - trying to get one for my company car (nice dark blue cooper S!) :D I like the similarities they have to the classics but i think with each revision bmw are taking away its 'mini-ness' if they keep goin it could (not will) end up like every other car they make!

Hope they dont try and stick a pig nose on the front like the rest of their cars. A BMW mini would not look very attractive with massive fire breathing nostrils!!!

If the new one drive`s any better than the last one it will be one hell of a car as i keep saying you cant knock the new mini`s intill you have driven one:) try it you might like it:) but i still like the bumpy uncomfortable ride my classics give me:cool:

I'll agree with that one, only bin drivin 9 mnths but everyone has let me drive there car including my m8 becky in her brand new bmw mini cooper, was fantastic to drive, that changed my mind bout the beemer mini's, although i still say they shud try an make em smaller, there still fab!! future classic :P:D :D :D
