205 GTI 1600cc Road Rally/ Challenge spec
Built from a tidy G reg red non sunroof shell to semi challenge spec, has been improved heavily over last few months and has completed 2 Welsh Road rallies in last 6 weeks with a 15th and 20th overall (and that’s with a Navigator at the wheel!!lol)
Shell/ Interior:
C44 cage, X diagonals/ belt bars etc
New in date OMP side mount seats, 3” Sabelt Harnesses. Fused and relayed for spot lamps, navigator lamps, poti plug,wired for tripmeter etc,nav footrest, electric window passenger side.
Suede steering wheel. All lines run inside car. And new windscreen fitted.
Full forest sumpguard, tankguards etc
Engine:
Fully rebuilt by previous owner to standard spec in 2007, including all new belts/ gaskets/bolts were needed etc etc. K & N 57i induction kit, new accelerator/clutch/handbrake cables. Currently running New standard exhaust (quieter for night events) Grp N mounts etc
Gearbox:
BE3 box with 2 event old (new March 2009) Quaiffe ATB diff and 4:4 CWP, uprated linkages etc.
Uprated mounts etc
Suspension/Brakes:
Bilsteins all round, standard brakes with DS2000 pads, new full stud conversion, sitting on 1.6 alloys and gravel tyres.
Overview:
A very good clean car and with if the new owner added a plumbed in extinguisher system/cut off/fuel sampler and window tint should be eligible for an MSA Logbook.Would be ideal for a beginner or a more experienced competitor as if I’m getting it into the top 20 someone handy could do really well.
Tested to next June and taxed until year end.
Only for sale due to aggravating an old injury that is forcing me to hang my gloves up .
