my engine has cessed

BOL***S....... i dont belive it. my engine has cessed, im sure it has, it will not role in 4th. she made a horrible noise on the way home from the welsh mountain zoo yesterday and i do'nt belive it man..... i am gutted. :( :( :( :(

had the r.a.c here and the guy recons it's had it.

oh well..... it was great while it lasted.

take my advice and get an oil presure guage fitted and not just think about it.
i had plenty of oil in it..... checked it regular.

im gutted.

Does it roll in any other gears :confused: or turn over they usually knock and the oil light comes on for a bit before they seize up and get really hot

it will not roll in any gear or turn over.
it did spluter on wednasday, but we were behind an old guy going down some winding roads for ages and it was like she was starved of fuel and she ran fine once we hit the open road again.
then on thursday we were coming back from colwyn bay zoo (im on my holz, back to work on saturday) and she made a terrible knocking noise.... i thought sh*t.... something has caught under the car and has poped up into the engine bay and was sucked back out again, coz the noise stoped almost straight away.
we were almost home at this point so i stoped at the local filling station and she wouldnt start back up.
oil is full.... she has been running hot but nothing silly.

i dont know? im gutted.

hard to tell without seeing best bet to stick another motor in then rebuild your old one if its not to bad good luck

thanks deano, ill start dissecting it on tuesday.
ive been thinking about it and was wondering if the starter motor could cause it ?
maybe the cluch plate has jammed ?
