right i need to rip all my wires out in little winstons and redo everything, the muppets that have proviously owned him need shootin!!! its a complete mess we dont no if everythings wired right or if things have come off or whatever!but anyway, my friend said he will rewire him 4 me. would i be better buying a wiring loom to keep it neat? or just buy loads of wire as hes quite good with it!? and the fact that it wil b miiillleessss cheaper!!! and also does it mean having to take my engine out n everythin? coz at the moment its all still intact and he isnt stored in a garage or anythin so i dnt rlly have anywhere to put everythin from under the bonnet? help please :D

Mini wiring looms are usaully pretty good:) its the dodgy fuse box which lets them down  so 1st job is to change that. Making a new loom takes ages but you can then move fuse box inside and wire everything in you need but changing a standard loom is not the hardest of jobs so which ever one you think best really:)

it all depends dont it...... spend on a loom and have a neater job, or have your friend lay some wires for you..... then if you sell it on... the next owner will be calling the last owner a bunch of muppets. wiring is an absolute nightmare when it goes wrong, so i would spend on a loom, have it done properly, so in the future problems will be easier to spot / fix. good luck with it. you have my simpathy.......

this might make you feel a bit better

my whole engine has cessed today, well last night and im looking for some advice on weather i should try and find what has cessed and replacing it or having the engine replaced or just get my bike out and ride of a cliff. what do you recon ??

Oh dear.Sounds like you have big problems. New engines can vary massively in price depending on who has had them and what has been done to them. Beware of buying stuff on e-bay too. Hope you get it sorted soon. :)

We spoke to a bloke last time we went to a mini show who solely sold looms for mini's. Will keep an eye out at MITP for him and will post his number when we get back on sunday. :)
