My Mini Project!

I have a J reg Rover Mini City E Called Winston! I was given him last November, he was my friends who went off to the army and cudnt look after him anymore, and Winston was sat all on his own in a field and only driven wen my friend was back and him and his friends ragged him across the fields wen they were drunk, anyway he was given to me and im determined to get him back on the road n lookin purrrrdy! he needs a fair bit of work n along with insufficient funds it might take a while! but hes gettin there

I had tears in my eyes watchin my dad pull my sportspac arches off :( but its for the best :cool: he had a bump a few years back to the front pannel was bent n beyond repair, so i bought him a new nose. my dads bein left to the welding and hard bits im doin the designin! lol

i know the feelin about seeing bits pulled off! i need stuff doing to mine but dont want to get the angle grinder out! like you say its for the best! sure winston will look fantastic when he's finished!

Thank you! well ive been told by his last owner that there should be absolutly nothin wrong with him mechanically, as since his last mot last year hes done nothing but stand in a field and has hardly been touched, but ive just replaced the spark plugs leads dizzy cap n roterarm, but then my battery was dead so i cudnt check it it had made a diffrence lol, but all he needs is some tidyin up coz his previous owers must have been complete tools! he needs all his rewiring doin, a little welding here and there (which isnt half as bad as i first thought!) then things like recovering the seats, dash centre console that dad made and door cards, ive bought some pretty pink vinyl :D then wen xmas comes, mum n dad have agreed to buy me the long awaited zeemax kit :D which ive wanted since i was about 13!!!! then some point early next year hes being sprayed pink :D woohoo i just need to get the ball rolling, n get some extra cash, im goin to australia in nov for 2 weeks so im havin 2 save up most of my money for that :(

Its christmas next week at mini in the park he he! Hope you get your mini sorted soon. sounds like its going to be a right beast! Im still waiting for Dean to finish our project mini (British Open Classic) but thats not going to be for a while. He has got to finish decorating the house and getting ready for the arrival of our baby :)

i cant go to MITP :( its too far away n like i explained with australia coming up i have not alot of money, and my fellas mean n wont take me to oxford! BOOOO!

Damn right. I only got my hot water back on last night! There is still floorboards up all over the place too (not good when you are big and round and trying to avoid the holes in the middle of the night)! Just got to keep Dean out of the garage now! Easier said than done :eek:

Kaye, Ive helped out best i can by sending my car to Lee at CQ mot centre for some much needed last minute work ready for MITP and Chris is "Lending" me his play mini exhaust for the run down and back.
That is one excuse for dean not to go in the garage at least!

Hope you get your work don Minx, be great to see some more pics as it comes along.
You said your dad made you a centre console?
Does he fancy making any more? could sell them for him on the site if he's up for it?
plus wouldnt mind one for mine

yer i could ask him, the hard work is over now that hes made one, he can just make templates for others, they would just need recovering as with mine its going to be pink :D it looks brilliant, he just looked in mini world and an hour later it was done! il ask him n let you know :D how much do u rekon they could be sold for though? as they arnt coverd?

il post some pix of it wen its reconstructed, i had to take it appart to fix my fan :(

im looking for some for gert as she need recovering and the sooner i get stuff the quicker my hubby can get on with her shes a shell at the mo, no doors, windows ,seats even took the steering wheel off ( you cant be to careful theses days )

hello ive found some pix that i took wen my center console was in the car, my dad made it, i dont think it looks much now but i think it'l look ace wen its finished and recoverd in pink vinyl :D aswel as the fact it wont cost me 80quid to buy one in a colour i dont even want lol

ive just rang a guy about recovering my seats, he says im better off buying pink leather aswel as the vinyl i have, as vinyl only has a life of around 4 years before it cracks and fades, so he says he will do the front of the seats in leather and the sides and backs in vinyl, an he also told he he has just done jordans ( o Y o ) (the big boobed one!) 's horse box in pink leather :D soooooo he must be good!!
