So my mini is very nearly running we just need to get the servo vaccum take off drilled and tapped on the manifold but we have run in to a few probs with the wiring.

I'm not sure if this matters but i think the engine that was in before was an 1275 but I am installing my 998 and i have no idea where some of the wires should be going.

Does anyone have any pics of where the wires go etc so that i have a better reference to go off.

Cheer's
Jon

ok heres gos
you should have 4 4 way connectors just to the left (looking at the windscreen) of the bonnet catch. These are for the lighting and should be replaced if dodgy as they can give a lot of problems. One should have blue/red wires plugged in 3 of them one from the loom one from the left headlight and one from the right headlight these are the headlight dipped beams.Another connector should have blue/white wires plugged in 3 of them one from the loom one from the left headlight and one from the right headlight these are the headlight main beams.Another connector should have red/green wires plugged in 3 of them one from the loom one from the left headlight and one from the right headlight these are the sidelights. The other connector should have black wires plugged in 4 of them 2 from the loom one from the left headlight and one from the right headlight these are the ground connections and must be clean and making good contact.Near to the connectors you should have a green/white wire this plugs into your righthand front indicator. You should also have a green/red wire this plugs into your lefthand front indicator. To the left of these connectors there should be a purple/black wire this plugs onto the horn.Further to the right you should have 2 white/black wires these plug onto the neg side of the coil(if you only have 1 white black that is ok because the otherone is for a rev counter if fitted ).The single white wire plugs onto the pos side of the coil. The alternator is just a straight forward plug as is the wiper motor. There should be a white/brown wire this plugs onto your oil pressure switch and also there should be a green/blue wire this plugs onto your water temp transmitter.
A long winded answer if you have anymore questions or can make anything out just mail again.Cheers
