Hi,just wondering if any of you mini wizards out there might be able to help here.i have a 1979 clubman with standard wiring loom and have just fitted a distrubitor from a 1993 mini 35,ok the wiring coming out of the loom to the coil is one white wire and one black and white wire, the wiring coming from the distrubitor also has two wires, one white and one black and white, can anyone advise me how these should be conected via the coil,i have done would i thought might be correct by conecting the two white wires to one side of the coil and the two black and white wires to the other side.i ask this because after about 50mile i have a miss fire which tends to go after cooling down and on removing the coil i notice that its shrunk in,any help or comments would be great,HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello & welcome to the forum

The electronic dizzy need over 14v to work correctly & your clubby will have a resisted supply lower than that.

What ive done in the past is run a new 14.5 volt cable from the ignition from the fuse box directly to the coil the coil also needs to be an electronic type coil.

sounds like you have wired it right just nit enough juice to power it the missfire will get worse the more electric thing you have on light heater etc

Change the wire electronic coil Then your missfire will be gone (i hope)
