Fully understand in everything your saying, however we didnt want to swamp our lil club with Too much in our first year and it was discussed in the first and second meetings that we would attend what we could this year and introduce ourselves slowly into the mini sceene and then in 2007, BLITZ THEM ALL! and show em who's boss!:D
And in doing the local shows we can make any lil mistakes along the way and rectify them in time for the "Biggies" in 07
Trust me, if we blitzed our diary with every event going, we would prob have the same 2 or 3 cars attending each time as we have been doin on the runs recently and we dont want to push our luck and run our of steam b4 we get started.
I will be attending as many show as possible including CHeshire Mini Day probably as an individual and like you will wear my Banner, T-Shirt and Fleece with pride!

hey the general sir!! U do have a point about the bmw's shudn't feel shunted about events such as macclsefield but as a knew club we don't want to take any chances to upset anyone, plus looking at the pre 1991 vehicles, we genuinlly don't have many of them in the club, (a few more now than when we did when we were gna organise the event to go), so we chose MITP for this months event instead so everyone can go!! plus i really want to go :)
Cheers Siano

It is a shame we cant go to all of them and mitp is a trek but still a good big show we will try to get to all next year even if we have to hijack them with our general:)
Cheers Dean

i cant take my charlie mini coz she is 2 years too young to get on a stand at smacklesfield, but mini in the park isn't discriminating against my classic mini!!

exactly u pointed out the main reason were not gon. because we wont be recognised as a club and anyway who wants to be seen as a smak show wen we can get a stand at the biggest mini show in the country and get noticed as a club.... is it just me or does the general need a clue???
anways peeps cant wait to MITP its goin be a right laugh cant wait to see how the stand turns out.. :p :) ;)

We can go to the classic shows as a club to look around but no clubstand on pre 91 shows as General said park in normal car park and walk in:) much respect to the classics because alot of work has gone into them and they started this ball rolling all the way up to the new mini`s which people are stripping to bare shells to spray and rebuild which must be as difficult as rebuilding a classic:) not as much welding but think of all them electrics. so we the club mini addicts are mini enthusiasts new and old mini`s a like and anything to do with mini`s moke`s mantis even a metro!

Listen Mister You Are The One That Needs A Clue We Dont Have To Go To Every Event As A Club, We Dont Have To Have A Stand At Every Event, We Can As Friends Ask Who May Want To Go To Visit A Show Or Indeed Be Part Of A Show That Isnt On The Club Calander
We Dont Need Primadonas Dissmising Local Shows As Rubbish And Not Worth A Toss Because We Want To Enter Big Shows To Get Recognised As A Club, We Can Only Do That Localy At Mitp You Will Be Swallowed Up By Some Huge Big Following Clubs Infact You Best Bet To Get Your Much Wanted Attention Is To Set Fire To The Club Gazeebo!if You Need A Clue From The General Keep Your Feet Firmly On The Ground And Your Primadona Opinions To Your Self

Now, Now!
Handbags at ten paces!:D
Lets all calm down a bit here. We said right from the start that everyone was and still is entitled to thier own opinion (As long as its the same as mine! lol)
I think we just need to agree to disagree on this one,
We all have our own minds and for those that wish to go to shows alone and those who wish to go as a group, im sure, we'll all enjoy things equally.
Love and best wishes
The referee:D
Now kiss and make up you two!

HERE HERE, i agree with john on this one, the general sir, has a point, that all events should be mentioned and disscussed especially local ones, and seriously considered, and as deano says we don't neccesarily need a club stand! there are by all means events to go see some great minis, the old classics that has brought us the the minis we have today and what was 1st created (well before pre 1991) has brought what we now have "nowaday" mini's and created and ended up with this club being produced!! We just don't have the time to go to every event in the calender as a club, different people want to go to different events, we all have our opinions!! but as moddinmad say's, MITP is a big big event to get this club on the map, which only being a new club, this is big help to get miniaddicts (the greatest club of all hehe) rolling!! we all appreciate everyones views, but were a club of happy enthusiasts, lets please not have little tifs over events hey?? none of us want to stop individuals going to events and trying to get fellow miniaddicts to join!! :):):):)

well, heres my view
your gonna get shows, classic (which to be honest, as a member says its 2 yrs out, which i feel is wrong) is just a classic show
but you also get the newer car shows, why not make the presence anyway
Im personaly in the vauxhall scene (which ifi could afford to, iwould have a vaux mini :p ) theres a local club in the area, and in the big events, wouldnt give us a stand, so we just set up in the car park, and we ended up being in the magazine who held the event :p so theres nothing stopping us (miniaddicts) setting up a stand in the car park :p youll get noticed as thats where everyone WILL walk past to get to there own cars :p
this is possably the best mini enthusiasts club on tinternet. you can feel the passion.
i think it's a bit unfair that older cars.... no... sorry newer cars are not allowed in to certain shows if they are apart of the same club, but that wouldnt stop me going. the later rover minis are the last chapter in the classic design that we all love. this is were the bmw mini owners get passionate... because the new minis are exactly that..... new minis. the classic mini owner should be proud that there car has inspired this new design and that people have chose the mini to madify sorry modify, as mr cooper himself did (grhs).... i think it's great to see them all together. anyone that owns one and wants to become part of a club...... you could'nt do much better than this one.
