When I started my Mini Moke rebuild, I rang round and searched online for a shot/grit blaster to remove the umpteen layers of paint and some very suspect underseal from the bobyshell. I couldn't find anyone, no one was interested in what they considered a small job. So away I went with the nitromoors, stripping discs, wire brushes etc ... (you know the score) When I had got it back into base & laquer, I started to look at all the other parts that needed stripping/cleaning up, I came across by shear chance a small company that does soda balasting, grit blasting and even powder coating. They did my subframes, brake calipers and even my ebay sourced alloy wheels.

I was so impressed with their work and willingness to do even the smallest item that I have become involved with the business. A website is now up and running to give you an idea of what we can do to help in your Mini restoration project. www.bedlamautobody.co.uk

We also have a skilled paint sprayer and low bake booth, take a look at the site and see if we can help you.

For a Mini saloon, you'd be looking in the region of £500 plus collection/delivery (Not the £ or 50p per mile rip off, but based on a sensible fuel usage) .. that would be blasted, etched primed as a minimum. The results are amazing, I spent hours and hours scrapping and sanding, lost count of the stripping disc's and wire brushes I used as well as the two wolf drills I bust the bearings on! ... Soda blasting gets in all the nooks and crannies.
