Alive but now Dead

Hi car was running fine yesterday, got in it today and it just turns over as normal but it will not fire,there is plenty of fuel it stinks,there is no spark at the plugs and i took the dizy cap off and turned it over and there is no spark at the points any ideas, should there be voltage at the coil terminals.:)

Yes you should have a 12 volt supply when the ignition is on to the + side of the coil from fuse 19.It should be a white wire.If you have anymore probs just ask.

Hi I have a similar problem and have to spray brake cleaner into the air inlet. I've been told it's the multi function relay but on putting one on from a mini metro (both spi I believe) it still wouldn't start, although when the old one went back on it did start once without being sprayed. Did the brief use of the new relay cause the car to think there was a new part and work or was it a fluke and not worth me putting one on full time? I've put it on for 24hrs now and it still won't start without been sprayed. Why would the car start when sprayed is it one of the sensors in the manifold that's the problem? Spraying it makes it work and break fluid isn't addictive for the car.
