Hello all!
I have a 1984 Mini 25 limited edition which had engine problems 10 years ago before my dad parked it in our garage, it layed dormant for 8 - 10 years, and was finally thought about, around 1 month ago.
Yes we have come across lots of rust, seized parts, oil leaks, destroyed exterior bodywork, but when you look inside, it reminds you of what an orginal Mini 25 should look like, as the interior is not ripped, faded colour, dirty, de-faced or has aged looks.
Today we finally got the engine out, after passing annoying hurdels like, seized CV joints, and clutch problems...
But apart from these things with the engine, it runs pretty well after sleeping for 8 years or so:P
We are now in the process of stripping, welding, painting and fitting new parts.
Hopefully it'll go well and we won't hit any major project haulting things..
Speak soon.
(P.s. Does anyone know if the car will fail the M.O.T on a welded rear subframe? I've herd rumors that theres a law against welded subframes knower days.)
