hello to all, this is my first posting on here and im sure it will not be the last!!!!!,my wife has just been given a 1994 1.3i mini the mum in law has given up driving the car has only done 23,000 genuine miles and is in good nick but had a look underneath and the rear subframe is a bit rusty not really bad so what can i do to it to stop it getting worse,i thought use a wirebrush? but what can i buy to paint over the existing rust, any help would be great, also the rear square brake adjusters are rusted up,again any help would be great in how to unseize them without snapping them off !!!,:) :)

Try the www.frost.co.uk website for pqor 15 rust inhibitor and paint, excellent stuff and stops the rust coming back not cheap but goes along way

wire brush any rusty moving parts and use some release oil not WD40 before working on them.

Brake fluid is a really good release agent but be carefull with paint hands etc
Ive put a few drop`s on the adjusters left it over night & hey presto next day free as a bird:)
