Ex Police MiniVan

Hi Guys and Girls,
Just thought u'd like to know about the Ex Police minivan i'm restoring in Chester. Its a 1979 Brummy Traffic Police Van complete with a few breatherliser wrappers left in the door bins! The Van is totally stripped and recieving a full resto at the min. His name's Bob and at the minute he's a little bit poorly but getting there slowly. Below is a few pics of whats happend so far. If anyone out there knows of any pics of Police minivans i'd be very grateful to see them as i am having little joy in finding any.

Hi there, great pics, have you got an end date in mind for it? or is it the usual, "When it happens" ? looks like youve got a bit of work ahead of you though, great to see another van in the area. be even better when its finished, keep up the good work.keep us updated with pics.

Heya, No end date planned but i've got tow months of unemployment left before the sale on the pub i'm buying in chester completes so pleanty of time for bob. Learning hard and fast how too panel beat and weld but its all good fun. I think Emily ( 1330cc Blue and White saloon on my profile) is getting a bit jealous and decided not to start yesterday. Lol! :D

Brings back memories that van does spent many a happy hour in the back of one of those on my way to the cells in my younger days, the thing that stands out most in my mind was the paint scheme they always had white doors with the name police in dark blue writing and the proverbial blue flashing coppers helmet on the roof, heee those were the days and then after that they went onto Mini Mokes, bloody drafty in the winter months with your hands handcuffed to the soft top frame.
Keep up the good work it will be fantastic when you finish it, keep us posted with more pictures

That would be no good he would have to start all over again be cause they always ended up with dents in them from the inside, exchanging niceities with our old friends in blue
