The other day i was getting the auto out the garage to go for a spin when there was a big crash:( and the bottom pulley had fallen off with no warning what so ever. 1st i thought the crank had snapped but luckily the pulley had just come loose and fallen off with no damage:) ive been messing about with mini`s for a long time and never heard of this happening before anyone else ever know of this happening?

Just when we thought it was all ok we got a horrible knocking noise. 1st I thought its the big ends then I notice its the pulley again so started to strip it down and to my surprise the bolt was still dead tight  so I removed the pulley to find the rivets holding it together were loose. Ha ha. But not now because ive welded it together (before peeps start worrying about its balance i dont care because it a 998 auto and im changing the engine soon) all back together nice and quiet again:)
