I recently bought a 2006 Mini One (Petrol, 17,000 miles) & have had a couple of problems & seeking advice from other Mini owners who have had similar experiences….
1. A strong burning smell from inside the engine compartment area after a motorway journey (Clutch?)
2. Rattling noise from the gearbox when the engine is idling, this disappears when the clutch is pressed & returns when clutch is released. (Input shaft bearings at this low mileage?)
I have approached a local Mini dealer but they were uncertain on both. Please help!
