I bought my first mini for £800 fully working but didnt really like the look of the paintwork and needed a few bits of bodywork doing to it so i decided to strip it all down and redo the whole car lol ive had it for 2 years but with being at uni dont really have time to do much to it so my dads been doing the work but i managed to get home and do some body work and get a few snapps of it while working.

Am trying to get hold of a 1.3i engine for it with a twin SU carb, British Racing green stage 2 Paintwork, Cobra buckets for the front done in black leather with red piping, recovering the back seats in the same colour match, Omp Red Rollcage and a cherry bomb centre exit exhaust. Im also making my own dash for it using templates ive found on the internet but cant decide wther to have chequer plate metal or brushed aluminium???? I have sportspac arches already for it but am looking into buying sportspac side skirts just to make the sills match the width of the arches.

just a quick question on you debumpering as my van is also the same on the front and has alread been piant by the previouse owner so have no ide what under it. Did you weld it and going by the pictures you are grinding it back

The bumper on the front is only tack welded to the front panel so all you need to do to get it off is grind the tacks out. I made it easier by cutting the lip off so i can get to it. but you dont need to weld anything like you would have to on the back. the front panel is all one-piece. hope that helps

anybody have any idea how to attach sportspac sideskirts to the mini. ive bought them but theyve come with no fitting instructions all they have is little dent like areas that i presume will line up with the holes in the outer sill on the mini

any ideas welcome

once all this lovely primer was on i realised (got told) that i still had to cut the bulkhead to insert a bulkhead box for my turbo..
so i set loose with a air cutter and made a big hole..
