I had a similar problem on the studio 2. Previous owner had taken the steering column cowl off and re-fitted it too far down .This prevented the flasher stalk from coming up high enough to make the contact.

it did work before we put her in the garage 2 yrs ago, and when we try it now the clock lights flash but nothing from the headlights
as said before weve put in new headlamps so dont no if its due to this????

hey peeps got it sorted after about 4 hrs of searching, it was the little metal prong things that connect the wire to the stalk it was bent backwards onto another wire  .
but at least its done at last.
thanks for all the suggestions they were all tried and tested.
take care

That's good, 12 volt electrics can be a right pain. Glad you got it sorted:)
