As most of you may know mini brakes are pretty poor at the best of times :rolleyes:

Mine have been super bad so checked them over to find front caliper seal gone.

so two brand new calipers Delphi ap lockheed ones ordererd from a well known motor factor.

Fitted them and no better infact worse they bled up ok then go down the road and no pedal & back brakes lock up:eek:

So steve came down two have a look & changed the master cylinder & reducing valve & bled & tested &bled & bled.:mad:

Then we discoverered that both the brand new calipers were leaking
from where they are bolted together:eek: :mad:

So a phone call back to the big local motor factor & they will have another set ready tommorow.

Lets hope that will sorted that was also the end of my new green stuff pads which are now covererd in fluid.

no thats not good... saw some shiny 4pots today in minisport... they look great.

Well after changing pretty much everything & fitting the new calipers & it still noit working i started to check everything over yet again.........

Bingo ive fixed it the pipes going from the master cylinder to the pressure reducing valve where the wrong way around :confused: :eek: & have been since ive had the car:eek:

quick swap around & for the 1st time ever mavis really stops i cant believe how well they have worked the past years not great but they passed mot every year (just about).

are they not a different size on the MC end??? I did think Rover did this when the introduced the yellow tag so they cant be got the worng way arround????

glad you got it sorted mate how does it stop now?
