Hi all, came home after the run yesterday. (big thanks to dean and the Mavis crew).

Mrs RSP, was driving after I had enjoyed a few pints with my Curry!! (YUM YUM):)

She stopped at the top of the drive, and turned the car off.

It kept on going (even without the key!!) !!!!!OMG (sure there is a stephen king book about this!!)

What is going on folks!!!??? (had to stall the car to stop him)

Pushed him in the garage and disconnected the battery.

Please help, do not want an evil car in the family!!!!!

I had the same problem with Mavis when i first had her but you cant stall an auto  It was a short on the ignition wire Behind the clock where a mouse had mad a nice home & chewed all the wire`s:eek:

It will be a sort somewhere as your wireing has been altered alot i would probably got a auto spark to sort everything out mate.

Definatly keep the baterie disconected tho.

cant be that hard to trace??? not sure what car yours is Rob if it one of those modern, ECU injection fan-dangled things?

If you connect the bat does it start or does it just run on when you turn it off but eventually stall?

had some thing like this b4 on dif car could pos be a dodgy radio fit that keep ignition on try start it and with radio on turn ignition off if keeps running turn radio off and c if it stops
or pos ignition switch mite be sticking also did spot the your headlight were on all day on the run

Fingers crossed on that score!!!!

No mate it is not one of the ECU injection things, it is the old style.

It did start after it happened yesterday, but only after stalling it and leaving for a few mins. came back to it and started it up fine!!!

Not tried it today, as I have been busy after work:(.

Still have the problem, with my side lights coming on each time you put the ignition on??? (if that helps:confused: )

Sorry mate, if this is confusing!!?

Just want to say a huge thank you to Denty for using his Ouija board and getting rid the ghost possessing RSP. :D :D

We owe you one. We also promise not to blind you with the lights being constantly on during the next run. :o
