fireing order

hi i have recently re built a 1983 mayfair which i bought as a non runner it will not run if i class no 1 cylinder as the one by the radiator but will run to a fashion if i use the opposite one can any one help i have read the haynes manual and realise that this should not be possibe, heres hopeful Mark Jones

Hi mate its 1 3 4 2 from the water pump side:)

if its been apart and the dizzy drives in wrong it will throw the timinig 180deg out
