Managed to get my hands on a heated inlet and a 1 3/4 mg metro carb with a pipercross cone filter for a good price! just wondered if anyone on here as fitted a metro carb! To my understanding a metro 1 3/4 carb gives the same gains as two 1 1/4 carbs! True? gona get it on wen i fit my new exhaust! yum yum!:)

thats what i've got on mine, works well but you need to make sure the needle reflects what you're running, i've got a BBW needle in mine, running a 1275, LCB, Inlet, electronic Dizzy with sports coil,
you're prob best getting it set up on a rolling road tho coz when i first put it on it ran like spanners! took ages to get it running right!
cheers

slightly quicker pickup, but the car's much noisier new. also seem to have problems with the centre bore on the exhaust keeps blowing the gaskets coz of the engine movement and the flanges on the inlet and exhaust manifolds are slightly different thickness' (although i've ground them to fit best i can!) not so bad since i fitted the engine steady tho...
last dyno mine made 56bhp @flywheel (standard is about 50) and 69ft/lbs of torque.
