Decided as charlie's engine is about to turn 120,000 miles (and the impending RR Session :D)!i've decided to look at a rebuild kit to replace the 1275.
dont want anything too major as the car is a high mileage daily drive so i've decided on a fast road 1293 short engine kit...
Ideally looking to renew the pistons, bores, cam, timing gears and clutch and generally give the engine some more poke.

this is what i'm looking at from morspeed http://www.morspeed.co.uk/engine-kit-1275cc.htm

but MED, minispeed and minisport all offer a similar kit for differing amounts of £££

Cant see a massive difference apart from the MED kit comes with omega pistons (i would if it was a 1380 but for a 1293 i can't justify the cost really!:( )

what's the general consensus???

MED have the name..and therefore the price.. Morspeed have a good name the bloke that runs morspeed used to be the engineering manager at MED...

However the time to get things done at morspeed can be much longer than expected. Morspeed even posted an apology at the beginning of the year

I would vote Morspeed. Or look at getting you engine re-bored at the local machine shop and buy the bits you need, that is if you are building it..

Lower the Cr and force the air in :)
