Auto to Manual electricts

I am about to swap engines and know there are some electrical bits to do when changing from Auto to Manual.

Could anyone help me out on what needs to be done?

Hi

There are not to many difference`s between the auto & manual but one of the main electric bits you need to do is wire out the Inhibitor switch.

This switch is conected to the auto gear selector which only allows you to start the engine in neutral only bridge that out & your sorted.

Our rally mini was an auto originally and it just wouldn't start once the conversion was done to a manaul and as Deano say it was the inhibitor switch. We now have a manual switch hidden in the car that takes its place and also acts as an extra security measure as the car is on a button start.
