New and old?

hello everyone

i have an idea, If i were to purchase a tax exempt shell would i be able to buy a 01 or 03 new old shape mini with the 1275 engine and fit the running gear and electrics from it onto it. Obviously the interior would be different and the speedo etc but could it be done? Have mini owners done it? I dont know if its possible that way you could get a tax exempt mini with the newer running gear.

The classic shape mini was produced up to 2000. So that is 7 years old. You might be better re-building the engine in the car, or getting one that has hard the hard work done for you.

thanks gr4h4m i will have a think about it, dont want to rush things ive got loads of times. I buy the mini world magazine but on ebay everything twice the price silly really. The magazines cool, on the ace cafe night with the minis i went down there with my dad We was in the orangethee heeler. Great night and i took loads of photos!
