Cheers, I wanted a different colour than rover could offer yet keeping the same era so the car is a 1992 so I hunted round for a suitable colour and the result was 1992 Ford Mercury Grey metallic - its grey with a heavy metallic and a fair bit of blue in there too - the roof, seam strips and doorlocks are a one off colour made up of some old tinters we had knocking about....Gloss black, Aluminium and blue pearl and it comes alive on a sunny day.The wheel arches will be painted body colour with the thin black seam trim between the body and arch. The whole lot was then laquered with Max Meyer high solids laquer. She was sprayed by Paul Fleetwood (woody's son) of Arfon Bodycraft who is quickly building himself a nice portfolio of mini's and custom paintwork.
Heres the pictures of tonights efforts...

Cheers guys, its so much of a buzz getting feedback! (good and bad)
Found out today that I have to cut my arches for wheel clearance, stress inducing believe me!
The mirrors, as tony said are purely aesthetic theyre useless! The foglamp disguised into the reverse lamp is my favourite stealth mod...the flip front catches were a doddle to do :D
Thanks again for the comments, it is all welcome.had a guy saying he hated the front today so you've restored the balance :D
