Poorly Mavis

Mavis is Running poo at the moment but that probably down to neglect:( The tappets are tapping the Exhaust it blowing she is Pinking and lost all go.

So im off to the Mini Rehab unit to tweeks the Tappets Re-seal the exhaust & adjust the engine stabilizers.

Then get shut of the old dizzy (with burnt out points) and fit a nice Electronic one with electronic high power coil.

Then oil & filter and if im feeling Generous new plugss too:)

Will let you know how i get on;)

It worries me when I hear that even Mavis gets ill sometimes. What hope is there for the likes of me and the 30 with my mechanical ineptitude if one of the acknowledged gods of mini preservation has problems. Hope it's better for Sunday. Mine's in for MOT today so who knows what I'll be in on Sunday. Grace wants to bring a passenger with her, and I suspect that I'll be given the heave ho if he comes. Any spare seats going if 30 is condemned?

Well i fitted new dizy `coil `plugs `leads oil filter & oil and she`s Running like a dream............................................. intill it conked out and i pushed it home but hopefully its just ran out of motion lotion (aka petrol)

Tune in tomorow to find out what happened ;)

When I took the tank out the other night I had driven it back from the club meet and I pulled the fuel line off of the pump and nothing came out!!!! there was an egg cup of fuel left in it.... I was lucky to get home and how it never stopped around the bends I don't know.

More fuel and she`s back on track Been very busy with mavis today she has had a good clean in and out new carpets & mats & the exhaust re-sealed:) Sounds much better on electronic Ignition :)
