engine oil temperature

does anyone know the oil temperature when ther cars upto temperature. miniesnever really gone above the 90 mark befor but for the past few days its been upto 120?? also keeps cuttin

any ideas anyone?

The oil pressure should be around 60 lbf/in2 (4.22 kgf/cm2) at 70 degC oil temperature give or take a bit. So 90 degC would be ok. Hope this helps.

thats great thanks steve. was running at 120 the other day so thats not normal. illdo another oil and filter change with an engine flush.

120 is very hot :eek: if your driving it normal and its getting that hot something`s up:(

i didnt think it was normal. serivice tomora and try do an engine flush too.. can onlyhope its not somethin serious
