Minutes of Meeting of Mini Addicts
Held on Wednesday, 1st August 2007
Present: – 33 Miniaddicts
Dean opened the meeting by apologising for the fact that the Red Lion was shut. Hopefully there will soon be a new proprietor and we will be back at the Red next month.
Gathering of the Faithful – Sunday, 8th July 2007
This was a good little show held at the Boat Museum in Ellesmere Port. Unfortunately, as we were entering the Museum Grace broke down. However, the team managed to fix the problem and it was ready for when we departed. One of our new members “Denty” took a couple of us to his workshop and we were able to pick up the necessary parts to fix Grace’s mini. It did start fine and sunny but then the thunder and lightening arrived and the minis were eventually sitting in about 2 inches of water. We did however receive a prize for runner-up Club stand. Grace won a prize for 2nd best mini. We won most of the raffle prizes between us.
Caerwys Show – Sunday,15th July 2007
A number of us camped at Barlows Caravan Park, where the show was held. The weather didn’t let us down – it rained again. “Mavis” had alternator trouble. There were 11 minis on the stand – an impressive turnout. Thanks to all who attended.
Lord Mayor’s Parade – Saturday, 21st July 2007
The rain did keep off for the Parade itself. We had 11 minis taking part.Many thanks to them.
Events Lists
The new up-to-date events lists are available – please take one, along with forms for Events to be filled in and given back a.s.a.p.
Mini in the Park Saturday,18th and Sunday 19th August 2007.
We have 13 vehicle spaces and 18 camping passes on order, which should arrive in the post shortly – please pay outstanding money a.s.a.p.
We will be meeting at the Twirl of Hay at 8:00 am on the Saturday morning. Our theme is “Roadworks”. We need road signs (please note – it is an offence to obtain the “real thing”). We need plenty of help on the day. There will be rally cross, a rolling road and loads going on at Santa Pod. We would like 2 teams for the “Mini-push”. We almost won last year!
Sunday run – Sunday, 5th August 2007
This week’s run will be a “mystery tour”. Everyone welcome in any car (you don’t have to have a mini on the road – runs are fun). Meet at 10:00 am at the Red Lion car park.
Northop Classic Car Show - Saturday, 1st September 2007
Meet at 10:00 am – Red Lion car park to go in convoy across the road!
Sandon – Sunday, 2nd September 2007
We are allowed 8 cars on the stand so its first come first served.
Blackpool Run for the Meningitis Trust – Sunday, 16th September 2007
Meet at Focus – Chester @ 12:00 noon. £5 per car – all proceeds to the Meningitis Trust. Application forms are available to complete. A packed lunch is advisable. Any suggestions to Ian or Sian please.

We broke the record recently by having 50 users on all at once. New site will be up and running soon. For non-internet members it would be useful to have a phone number so we can keep them updated of any developments, especially regarding our venue for the next meeting. We have had 25,000 viewings on the Forum. 100 per day and some days 1,000.
Raffle
We will not be holding a raffle tonight but once we are back inside our venue we will have a bumper one at our September meeting.
