Disc & Caliper choice

Hi,
I am going to overhaul my mini front brake system next week and want to order some bits. Does a mini really need to have 4 pot metro calipers & vents or will std twin pots & solid discs do?

It is only standard 1275cc power at the moment

well it depends on what you want. the std setup will perform well if its in good condition.
But if you feel like you want more braking 4 pots should give you a better response esp if you are using them over and over in a short space of time. Good brake can be as rewarding as a faster engine there is nothing like the confidence that you know you can stop quickly.
