Ive started to sort out the Engine for Kaye`s open classic:)

im going to start with the old 1275 then bore it out abit to 1340 1380 new mains big ends can bearings oil pump etc than in thinking of the swift tune sw5 cam kit with the vernier pulley solid lifters 1.5 roller rockers.

putting on a large ported polished head with stainless inlet & exhaust valves

Will sit it on standard metro turbo box diff and drop gears.

Ignition standard electronic dizzy magnacore leads ngk iridium plugs.

cooling will sort as rqd lol

As for fueling a modified hif44 on howley inlet manifold nice smooth power im hoping for abit of bhp around 80-100bhp

Down to bare block at the moment not any major problems so off to Aw engines for the machine work next:)

Cheers Deano

bet kaye's made up! i was thinking along the same lines as that when i come to do charlie/maria's engines. just not boring them to 1300+ maybe 1293 on charlie and leaving marias as a 998cc.
if thats the spec for a 'run around' i think nasa will be after the spec of your turbo project to put shuttles into orbit!! :D
:D

Thinking of keeping the flywheel and clutch standard will have them balanced with the crank. Will have to keep the line drag starts to a minimum:)
