Hi just a update on the mini, Finished doing the brakes, just fitted a roll cage. Next is the inside and then a MOT.

The engine could do with a clean, due to the all the dust from the paint ( but there is no oil just lot and lots of dust ) The roll cage is a full front and rear cage without the door bars. Got it last weekend from a guy in the Lakes, had to give it a good clean and paint it before I could fit.

man it looks sooooo good.... cage nice.... a good idea I did think about one but I didn't want to drill the floor....

It failed the mot:mad: Both track rod ends ( nice and easy to repair ) A small hole in the rear sub frame ( not so easy as I can not weld ) I have finish the inside and will post some photos late.

Yep I am meeting merv tomorrow to have a look at the welding. Then I have to get some track rod ends. Hoping I can get it all fixed soon as I going away, in it on the 8th June on the lakes run..:confused:

Took the mini for a retest today, passed with flying colours, then it was off to the post office to get my free tax.:D

The free tax is great. I have only spent the following for the year, apart from fuel and money I felt like spending. Maintance £40, mot £43, Insurance £143. Grand total for the year to have the mini on the road is £226. I think that is cheap motoring :rolleyes:

Sadly no freebies for me, but it would be nice just to pass a mot for 43 quid. RSP currently has the front end off looking sorry for its self.:(
