Minis on the Prom, Aberystwyth Sunday May 27th

On Sunday 27th May, we have been invited to join in with Dragon Mini Club's Aberystwyth run. They are coming up from Cardiff for the weekend.

Miniaddicts however are planning to travel down to Aberystwyth on the Sunday morning and coming back the same day.

The plan is to meet in McDonald's car park in Mold at 7:15 to set off at 7:30.

We need to be on the promenade at Aberystwyth at 10am. After this the prom will be closed to car traffic until 4pm when we will leave to come home.

We should be back in Mold by 6:30.

Cost per car is £5 to include entrance to the prom and a plaque.

I need to let Dragon Minis know numbers for the plaques by early next week.

Can anyone interested let me know by Sunday night so that I can place the order. After that you can still come but won't get a plaque.

We will arrange nearer the time where to meet up with Geraint, Dawn & Mark

Take first turn off for Mold after passing St Davids Park hotel on left (A494)
Straight on through two set of traffic lights.At mini roundabout take 2nd left for Mold town centre. When you get into Mold McDonalds is 2nd left off roundabout,You cant's miss it:)

Can I have final names for those coming on Sunday please. At the moment it seems to be as follows. Christine & I, Tony, Graham, Ian, Sian, MiniRichy, and (Iceman and others from Snowdon Minis meeting on the way). Anyone else more than welcome, should be a good day out.

Plan is to meet at 07:15 in the McDonalds car park in Mold (Directions from me if you don't know where it is) ready to leave at 07:30.

Can we meet up with Snowdon Minis on the way down. We will be coming through Ruthin, Bala, Dolgellau and Machynlleth. Tell me where on that road (A494) and we can work out an estimated time to meet.
We are due on the prom at Aber before 10am, so should be a nice relaxed journey down.
Spend the day on the prom and eating icecreams then head for home at 4pm. Should be back in Denbigh 18:30
If Sian wants picking up on the way, Christine and I can pick her up at say 06:05 . Let me know.

You're right ... The best mini club. Thanks for turning out on what promised to be such a foul day but became for miniaddicts not bad at all really weatherwise. The journey both ways was good roads, the fun on the prom great, highlights were Phil in water for all of 10 seconds. (How are the dangly bits), the National Milk Bar which confirmed all my worst memories, winning 5 out of 10 raffle prizes, and just great company.

Thanks also to Dragon Mini Club of Swansea for organising it all, no mean feat to get 46 minis to Aber on what was projected to be the worst weather weekend of the year. Opportunity next year to consider joining them for the weekend perhaps. I know how much you want to see me camping again in the rain.

Altogether counting Sian and Phil in his Peugeot, John in his Vauxhall there were 4 minis +two cars (a total of 9 people) + 2 Snowdon minis with 4 peeps (total of 6 minis )A fairly good turn out considering the bad weather forecast of heavy rain which didn't materialise thankyou upstairs!
