Hi can anyone tell me what the correct timing mark for a 1275 from a mg metro is the manual says 10 deg btdc i have set this but the car struggles to fire and runs lumpy cheers

I allways set them up by ear its the only way to do it unless you hace a very good dwel meter:)

Make sure you disconect the advance vacum from the dizzy when setting the timing,and get the tick over on around 850...It should be set to about 10+-,any more and you will end up knocking the crank out,as it will advance to much on full throttle...
If you have set it at 10 it should be fine,make sure theres oil in the dash pot and theres no leaks in the breathers from the engine to the carb....
