have you had a look at this article about cooling?
http://www.minispares.com/Article.aspx?aid=90
keith calver recons you are due for an upgrade too!!
The standard 998 radiator will cope with the application of a stage one kit, but going to a decent modified head and fast road cam will sorely test it if it is in any other condition than A1 perfect.

But technology moves on a-pace, and the ‘more water’ theory soon bit the dust. The latest breed of radiators only have two cores, but a vastly superior core and fin arrangement, giving around 37% more cooling capability than standard. In fact this type of radiator has been sufficient to cool engines fitted with turbos and having outputs of around 160 bhp. Fitting one of these to any normally aspirated A-series should kill the problem dead.:D

yep that's my thinking. I have read that article and a loads of posts. I think it hasn't shown up before as the int he winter runs I have always used the heater. I think its only at a constant speed it can't get rid of the heat... bit of a bummer as I have only just got a new rad, but I expect I should be able to sell it and get some cash back.

Oh yes its gonna be a cracker, I got a 9 gallon tank (Just calculated it!!:D ) so fuel shouldnt be a problem and also fitting a return line in the fuel system so it is constantly circulating instead of boiling away in the single line!!

Cheers

Ps sorry for the hijack graham:eek:
