Hi everyone, im new to this sight (if you didnt guess). Ive heard a lot about the sight from miniworld magazine so i decided to check you out.
Well im 18 (just) and i own a blue 1979 Austin Leyland Mini. It currently needs a bit of body work etc (new front end due to excesive rust and interior) to be done, but i dont mind doing it as ive wanted a mini project car for ages. It currently has a 898cc engine but me being a boy and 18, it wont stay around very long! lol. I have big plans for my mini and im sure you'll see it on here some time soon-ish. :)
The mini came into my life when i kept on bugging my mum about how much i wanted a mini until my birthday came and i woke up to find this one sitting on the drive and the keys in an envelope with my name on it! :D
Anyway, thats enough about me, i hope to chat to you all very soon and maybe see you in the future.
Cheers, Thunder881.

Yeh may be a long way to come, but if i have the time im more then willing to travel for a meet.
And the before and after pics are already in process, i had the same idea, just so i could see what it looked like when ive finished it. I estimate the body work and all outside accesories will take roughly a year and then the interior should be done roughly 6 months max after. So im sure there'll be plenty of pics of before, during and after!
Nice to meet you all and i hope to get to know you more soon. :D

It's a lively forum as you can see . Do keep in touch, especially if you holiday up this way in the future, just make sure it includes the First Wednesday of the month and you will be welcome to our meeting.
