What Is Different Between All Classic Minis?

I want to figure out what is different between all classic minis.Is there any different in any dimensions of parts?Im really confused coz I want to order some spare parts from oversea but it will be my risk if i bought the wrong thing.The thing that i want to know about is the sets of rear lamp ,side lamp,indicator and front lamp.is it suit for all series of classic minis?im using 1964 mini cooper.anyone help please.

If you have a 64 cooper the reverse lights you will need have the corners rounded and you don't have reverse lights.

i c.so all the basic body is the same rite?i mean all the mini chasis is the same rite? the light can be change to the new one?anyone can explain me better about the differences please

No the Mk1 shell is different, They made a lot of small changes when the Mk2 came out,\like bigger back window. The car doesn't have a separate chassis its body is the chassis.. The sub frames are also different I think you will probably be running on Hydro same as mine.... Also the cars were badged Austin and Morris back then. Also you will need to check if your car is positive earth have a look in the boot to see where the negative terminal is attached, Which ever terminal is attached to the body is the earth. This is imporant if you are installing a "new" style electrical devices as the new stuff will be neg earth.

Looks like a Mk3/4 with indicators in the wings & Mk3 rear lights & it has internal door hinges :)

I would say that it is a Mk4 from the mid to late 80's, as for Mk1 and Mk2 have lots of little details which where carry over to the shells, the early mk2 has the same size side windows as the mk1 ( but not on a piano hinge ) and even the Mk3 has some of the Mk2 details ( early mk3 has a lip on the gutter the same as the mk2 ) but as will find out alot of the parts fit each other.

i see.do u have any website that tell all the details about mini cooper? i just buy my mini last year from my father's friend and his registration grant stated that he bought on 1964.anybody got some PDF files about mini?mini manual or anything that related about mini? i want it

It could be a mini cooper 1964 ( which would be a Mk1 ) that has been reshelled and used the log book . The shell is not a mk1 which 1964 would be.
