ipod interface for BMW/Mini

Hello. I have recently had a BMW/Mini ipod interface installed in my Mini, and I am curious to know if anybody has come across any problems such as the hard drive failing on the ipod after the ipod is connected to the interface? The first time it happened I put it down to the age of my ipod(constant use for three years), and I had a new hard drive fitted, and after thirty minutes connected to the interface the hard drive failed again! Is this a very strange coincidence or have you heard of similar occurrences? I would like to get my facts right before I take it back to my BMW/Mini workshop.

That seems very strange! shouldn't think it is your ipod if its worked fine for 3 years! I'd definately get down to your dealership and have a word with them! maybe speak to apple and see if they have had that type of problem?
