Hi Welcome to the forum. As you can see we welcome the new MINI and have a few in the club. Where are you based? If local (Chester and N Wales) you will be most welcome to our meetings. You missed a good 1st birthday party of the club last night!:)

hi to everyone who's said hi :D in answers to questions i'm based in scotland aberdeenshire to be exact as for pics i took some when i first got the car about a month ago took it and my mum's one down to my local beach and got some pics of them together. But i'm offshore at the minute and i'm not sure if i have them on my laptop if i have i'll try and get them on as soon as but if not i'll do it when i get home on tuesday. They're not that good but my dad is a professional photographer so i may try and get him to do some good ones for me ;)

I know it wasn't set out like that believe you me but apart from a few differences i.e the grill and the alloys it gets hard to tell the difference my dad jokes he's gettin one too so we can have the italian job remake outside the house lol. When my mum goes to work in the morning she has to check the number plates before going into her car as they both have private plates with mums being S555 an mine S55 :D so are there many scottish members here?

Nice motors there.I am amazed at the differences in the new MINIs. Deano and I were invited to the Oxford plant where they were made and in the three hours we were there some 250+ MINIs rolled off the production line and not two of them the same!:)

How cool would that bet to see them being made :D I suppose none of them are the same due to ppl choosing the spec of some of them when they buy them. I know the leather interior of mine is an optional extra. Think i've got the mini bug badly now been thinking of upgrading already to a cooper s but think i'll wait a bit lol

You wont regret upgrading to a cooper S, Ive had all three models now starting with a cooper then a one (after a house purchase) and then upgraded to an S and it never fails to make me smile

When I smile people ask if I've got wind ! LOL :D

As for the MINI differences , a job printout is stuck on each car and all accessories are programmed to be delivered to it's fixing station at the same time the car arrives ! It really was a fantastic experience and is well worth going if you are ever offered the opportunity. I have been lucky enough to have been round the Vauxhall plant in Ellesmere Port many moons ago and I thought it fantastic then although it wasn't as automated as the BMW system.

would have gone for an s in the first place but prices for a used one up besdie me are over £10,000 and they usually have stupid mileage on them was nearly crying yesterday looking on auto trader seeing ones down south for under that price :(

Look on the bright side tho, we went to the wirral mini's meeting the other week at the new Mini showroom and had a talk from the sales manager who said there is more demand for the new minis than BMW are actually making so they are holding their value a lot longer than other similar cars! :D

looks like i made the right choice of car this time then an it's not even a new one this time :D last 2 i've had have been an 05 plate mgzr and an 06 plate clio campus sport. Kept the mg for 9 months and lost nearly £3000 and lost nearly £2000 on the clio in nearly a year:(
