i'd prob hang back till after your mot to be honest mate, some testers can get a bit funny about them if they're not alligned/ wired up properly.
you can get spot light wiring kits from the likes of halfords for about £11 and fit them yourself, that would be the cheapest way, its not too hard either. i've done it a few times :D

was thinkin the same mate it will be for after the mot. luckly not much to have done as i had a pre mot inspection. i also got everything with included, wiring kit, switch, lamps, bar to put them on, and covers, £50 odd
Buy the kit and fit them yourself, it aint that hard. Any probs give me a shout.

the wiring kit should have instructions and a wiring diagram in it, its much easier to fit them than you might think! i've done quite a few to different cars i've had. and trying it is the best way to learn! everyone's got to start somewere and a mini is the ideal car!
