broke down!

sorry i missed the run this morn peeps,the mini decide to brake down on me this morn coming out of warrington,:mad: think me elec fuel pump as packed up,dont seem 2 hear the noise it makes usually wen i switch the ignition on! plus i cant get any fuel through the fuel hoses wen i disconnect the hoses on the carb! does any 1 know if theres a relay switch that cud b at fault,if so where is it? or cud it b something else?:confused:any advice wud b greatful cheers e! hope u all enjoyed the run 2day!:)

i had a problem with my the other nite where it broke down think it due to the damp tho. wuddnt for ages so me and me mate had to push it to the nearest garage like 20meter away and wait for my dad to give me a tow. but what happens wen he arrives it starts again

how olds the mini? does it have an su pump on it?

94 L reg mini,fuel injected! wen ignition is put on there doesnt seem 2 b any fuel coming through the system!not sure whether problem lies with a relay switch or the pump itself! rang m&m's,they said the relay box that sits on top of the servo unit with 2 plugs goin into it,2 give that a tap coz there prone 2 breaking down,but still no joy! headscratcher m8!:confused: su pump????

Sorry mate when you said carb i thought you might have had an oldy with su pump :)

The relays can be a problem on them also the fuel filter can block and the pump pack up its very difficult to tell without testing.

other thing aftermarket imobiliser can cut fuel off try disconecting the bat for half an hour :)

Cheers for the advice m8,il try disconnecting the bat 2moz c if that helps!it has has got an imobiliser on it,so il av a look at that aswell,cheers again m8 E:)
